I am a junior elementary education major with a concentration in social studies. I am from Lenoir, North Carolina (only about 30-45 minutes down the mountain), and growing up I hated it because there was nothing to do, but now that I am in Boone, I appreciate the smaller town feeling where everyone knows each other. I have a little sister, Tiffany, who just turned fourteen years old that I am really close to, and a wonderful boyfriend of four years who is my best friend. Together we have a puppy, Enzo, who is extremely spoiled, and just recently got a kitten, Cleo. I love spending time with my family and friends, being outside, watching movies, reading, traveling, and learning new things. I have a true passion for children and cannot wait to be in the classroom!!

I am from pamilya (family) gatherings With the Karaoke machine blasting through the house with pictures of a paradise island racing in the background.
I am from sinigang, white rice, and chicken adobo. And replacing eggs and bacon with garlic rice and fried fish.
I am from say your night –night prayers Bless your food before you eat And give God all your troubles
I am from hard-workers Determination And don’t give up.
I am from laughing with loved ones And being masaya (happy) no matter what.
